BCI Insulation
Mineral Wool. Superior Thermal, Fire, and Sound Performance.
Dense mineral wool insulation engineered for maximum acoustic separation, fire resistance, and thermal performance in residential and commercial buildings.
About Mineral Wool
When fiberglass isn't enough.
Mineral wool (also called rockwool or stone wool) is made from volcanic rock and steel slag. It's denser, more fire-resistant, and acoustically superior to fiberglass. BCI Insulation installs mineral wool for clients who demand maximum performance — particularly in home theaters, music rooms, multi-family buildings, hotels, offices, and any space where sound separation is critical.
Sound Attenuation
Mineral wool achieves STC ratings of 45–65+ — blocking conversation, music, and mechanical noise between rooms and floors. Required for many commercial occupancies and ideal for any space requiring acoustic privacy.
STC 45-65+ · Blocks speech, music, HVAC noise · Commercial code compliant
Fire Performance
Non-combustible at temperatures up to 2,150°F. Mineral wool provides genuine passive fire protection in wall and floor assemblies — unlike fiberglass, it doesn't melt or contribute to fire spread.
Non-combustible · 2,150°F rated · Passive fire protection · No melting
